Stanley Baldwin, a junior chemistry and kinesiology major at MNU will receive the Maud Wyatt Recognition Scholarship awarded by the Kansas Independent College Foundation (KICA). Stanley is among 19 recipients from Kansas universities who have demonstrated excellence in academics, character and integrity. According to KICA, the winners have encouraged their peers to build bright, dynamic futures while maintaining GPAs of 3.5 or above.

Stanley is having an exciting summer in a prestigious research program at Penn State University through Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) a program of the National Science Foundation. The program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any NSF-funded area of research.

Stanley’s goal is to become a research professor and believes the REU program is a stepping stone.

“The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research with some of the foremost experts in the field was something I absolutely had to try for,” Stanley said.

MNU is grateful to KICA for encouraging high achievers with its Maud Wyatt Recognition Scholarship.
