The Master of Arts in Counseling degree at MNU is designed to train compassionate individuals to develop the knowledge and skills needed to be exceptional professional counselors.

With three ways to customize your studies—Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling or Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling—and utilizing “the science of compassion,” you'll be prepared to facilitate hope and healing from personal and relational pain.

CACREP logoIf you’re hoping to earn your counseling degree in Kansas or Missouri, consider the benefits MNU’s counseling programs offer. We are the only private university in Kansas to offer a CACREP-accredited graduate program in counseling.

Our program incorporates a high level of scholarship with real-world application, supervised client counseling and an integration of psychology and Christian faith. Our graduates consistently score over a 95% pass rate on the national counselors’ exam, upon completion of their degree.

While in the program you'll practice in our on-site clinical facility with guided practice by practicing faculty. We partner with over 45 private practices and agencies across the metropolitan Kansas City area for your internship experience. Many of these partners are so impressed with MNU interns that they will not consider interns from other institutions.

In fact in 2017, our Masters in Counseling program ranked third in the top Christian Colleges for Master’s in Counseling degree.

Your degree is an investment in your future. We have a variety of different payment options available, so you can choose the option or combination of options, that best fits your situation. Total cost, including fees and tuition, will be calculated based on your program, and can be divided into multiple payments.
