Spark

MNU Arts Camp

June 3-7, 2024

The Spark of an idea can change the world, especially when expressed through the stage and screen. That’s what Spark MNU Arts Camp is all about: helping students find their voice and expertly expressing it through professional-level technology and hands-on workshops.

Spark is a week-long overnight camp for incoming high school freshman through graduating seniors. Starting with check-in on Monday afternoon, students will spend the week focused on both theatre and film skills with hands-on experience that partners them with professionals at MNU and the surrounding KC area. Students will enjoy master classes in auditioning, acting, improvisation, musical theatre, directing, producing, editing, lighting, and so much more. The camp will culminate student experiences with a media showcase for their friends and family on Friday morning before heading home.

This camp will allow students to experience MNU campus life by enjoying on-campus activities, eating meals in the Cunningham Student Center cafeteria, and staying overnight in the dorms. Each attendee will receive a free camp t-shirt as well as room and meals as part of their tuition. We welcome students from all experience levels from anywhere in the country.

Registration will begin in January.

New this year!

In addition to theatre and film, Spark is thrilled to announce a new creative writing camp option with the One Year Adventure Novel.
