Music Majors study the musical elements of pitch, melody, harmony, rhythm, dynamics and timbre and texture.

The Music program at MNU is designed to foster your creativity and promote your aesthetic literacy. Our faculty are strong pedagogues with stellar educational backgrounds, committed to bringing out the best in you. Combine that with our state-of-the-art performing arts facilities in the Bell Cultural Events Center and you'll get an exceptional education at MNU.
YOU WILL LEARN
As a Music major at MNU you can choose from a vocal, piano or instrumental concentration. You will fulfill a piano proficiency requirement, demonstrating ability in:
- four-part reading
- accompaniment
- improvisation
You’ll also present a solo recital and participate in variety of performing opportunities on and off campus.
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Music major scholarships and/or music ensemble participation scholarships are available to exceptional students who complete the Music Scholarship Application Form and perform a successful audition.
