Memorial for Dr. Barth Smith

MidAmerica Nazarene University joins the Smith family and the broader Church of the Nazarene in mourning the passing of Dr. Barth Smith, professor emeritus of practical theology, whose life of faithful ministry, scholarship, and mentorship shaped generations of students, pastors, and Christian leaders. Barth passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 85. Gifts may be made to scholarships in Dr. Smith’s memory.

Pioneer Golf Classic

September 28, 2026

Join us for an inspiring day of golf to benefit student-athletes at MidAmerica Nazarene University. Proudly hosted by the Pioneer Athletic Association, this 18-hole event with lunch and dinner now includes extras such as the Back Door Hole-in-One, Bubba Watson Long Drive, closest to the pin, mulligans, and more!

The 2026 Pioneer Golf Classic will be held at Iron Horse Golf Club in Leawood, KS. Registration and lunch begin at 10:30 AM, with a shotgun start scheduled for noon.
